From Nashville: Take I-40 east towards Knoxville Take Exit 226A (Mt. Juliet) and merge onto S. Mt. Juliet Road Drive... From Mt. Juliet Rd (assuming you are heading South), turn Left at Providence Parkway. This is where the Holiday Inn Express and Kroger are located. Travel 1/2 mile and the road ends at Providence Trail....turn Right on Providence Trail. Travel 2 miles and turn right into the community entrance where the waterfall is. Final destination is the Clubhouse thru gate on right Tell Guard that you are there for EXIT Training at the Clubhouse.

Add The Right Noise for your Listings...


 

A Greater Town dot com - a good place for your Listings, Blogs, and Community VisibilityOne of the reasons I love the internet are that the surprises and connections you make; they have a way to build a life of their own - you can never imagine what would come of them…

 

One of my biggest supporters has been Craig Summerall, the broker of Exit Realty in Lexington South Carolina – he has taken to Internet Marketing so well that he and I compete for positioning on certain keyword phrases – of course we do so with full respect and fun towards each other…

 


Last night Craig was posting a blog on www.AGreaterTown.com while I was running a Google index on the site, research I do to ensure that my recommendations live up to my clients' expectations - while neither of us knew this was going on… Needless to say I was so impressed that I decided to post 2 Blogs on a “greater town website”; wow I was really impressed by the ease of implementation and loved the idea that agents can use it to post their listings and really offer a lot more information than the MLS or Trulia will ever allow… Information desperately sought by Real Estate Buyers.

 


The site seems simple on the surface but its power lies way below the surface – in one sentence: "Google Loves it…" The Index I ran was superb; and although the stats mean nothing to most of you, the visibility is fabulous… Create an account, and start posting your listings and your blogs into it…

 

Drew describes the site this way: "A Greater Town gives an interactive home page to every town in the country, with a dynamic self-publishing interface for small businesses, artists, non-profits, Realtors, etc, integrated with feeds from national partners. Categories and locations interconnect to form a greater entity, hence the name - A Greater Town..." - Drew Knapp is the founder.

The Power of an proper Real Estate Internet Marketing Presence


 


The Washington PostThe Washington Post just posted an article titled: “Redfin Turns Profitable, Real Estate Industry Shudders.” The primary illumination this Article will reveal is the power of an Internet presence; NOT a website; there are millions of such; NOT knowing how to invite friends and create Pages on Facebook and Twitter; or the wasteful Gossip on Activerain but the amalgamation of all these ideas around a solid presence within Google that reaches and serves customers.

 

Share this article with your agents and get them focused on Internet Marketing – Let them know if they don’t do it themselves someone else will offer it to their clients!!! (Some will read this article and forecast Fear; but the forward planning Brokers will read it and see opportunity!!!)

An interesting tidbit from today's Naked Truth event in Seattle: Redfin CEO Glenn Kelman said his company just turned profitable. Since I was sitting next to him on the panel, I asked him off microphone what revenues were. He said the run rate is around $15 million. 2007 revenues were $5 million, 2006 revenues were $1 million.

 

That's great news for everyone except the real estate industry. The Seattle-based startup represents buyers and sellers in home real estate transactions for far less than the entrenched industry rates that take 5%-6% of the sale price of a home and split it between buy and sell brokers. On the buy side they reimburse 50% of the fee they receive back to the buyer. On the sell side they charge a $5,000 - $7,000 flat fee. The normal broker fees on a million dollar house are up to $60,000, so the savings are obvious.

 

The company was profiled favorably by 60 Minutes in 2007, but real estate agents and brokers have known about the company for far longer. Even as far back as 2006, Kelman told me, they've had to deal with "threats, stalkings and other disturbing behavior towards their employees and some customers from, apparently, angry real estate professionals." Now that Redfin has shown that their model works profitably those threats will likely become worse.

 

Disruption is never fun for those being disrupted. The DOJ is hitting the real estate industry from one side, and Redfin is hitting them from the other. The result? A better deal for the rest of us. © 2009 TechCrunch
