A Recap of Key's Thoughts of the Day Jan 4th through Jan 9th 2013

How is your year going so far?  Are you creating good habits that will ensure your future success?  If not, then perhaps it's time to get started!  This week, I covered several topics, all with some focus on motivation.  In a nutshell, motivation and good habits are the keys to your success in your business.  Your personal motivation will dictate your actions, affecting whether or not you meet your goals.  If you are motivated to complete tasks within your plan of action, you create good habits and ultimately ensure your sucess.  Also, understanding the motivations of your clients allows you to set realistic goals with and for them.  Neglecting to know the "why" of your customer, you set them,as well as yourself, up for failure.  Finally, you must empower yourself to never quit. Determination is key in this business where "No" is a commonality. By committing to the success of yourself and others, you are guaranteed to make 2013 the year of your dreams.

Incomplete Tasks and Avoided Conversations become nagging Incompletions and they throw the balance of your business, presence, and happiness out of center. Let me share with you a useful definition of an incompletion: it is a task that you have been putting off that finds a way to pop in your mind and linger in a caustic fashion. Usually these are tasks that you have been trying to avoid because they are either unpleasant, and/or tasks that involve some kind of confronta...

According to NAR Research the Median Income of Realtors was $34,900 in 2011, and those with lots of experience, 16+ years, had a Median Income of $50,200. The top earners, six figure income and up, were 17% of all Realtors or over 150,000 such agents. Obviously experience is a great asset and must be earned; the challenge in getting new agents to that level of experience as quickly as possible, requires boxing them in with a plan of action, and a mentorship program that ...
